Gonstead Chiropractic

Dr. Tyler utilizes the Gonstead Technique, which is a very thorough and specific technique that is both gentle and safe for people ranging from 1 minute old to 100 years old!  It involves taking an initial set of x-rays (when old enough) which are viewed every time a person is adjusted.  These x-rays act as a "road map," providing the specific information necessary to make corrective adjustments so patients reach their desired outcome in the shortest time possible and with the least amount of expense possible.  Dr. Tyler also uses a "nervoscope" every time you visit.  This tool helps isolate the specific nerves that are being choked so that a specific adjustment can be made in the correct location at the correct time.  Never in the history of Chiropractic have we been able to provide the level of help and expertise that now exists.  These newer correction methods are safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before.  As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Tyler has years of training and experience in delivering specific spinal adjustments.

Nutritional Counseling

Our goal is not to sell you a lot of nutritional products.  Rather, we strive to teach you how to obtain all the necessary nutrients from your regular diet.  We provide the opportunity to have a special Nutritional Consultation with our Nutrition Specialist, Teresa.  In this consultation, you will discuss your current dietary habits.  At a later date, you will sit down, one-on-one, and review a structured nutritional program based on your individual needs.  You can ask as many questions as you would like, as some of the recommendations may be new to you...and the more you know, the easier it is to implement.  These recommendations are laid out clearly, so that you can begin implementing them immediately into your daily routine.  This is a crucial component of living a wellness lifestyle. You will most certainly be impressed!

Lifestyle Advice

One of the things we are best known for is our desire to help others develop a wellness lifestyle!  Our patients find it helpful to be "coached" on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge.  Likewise, they appreciate being coached on things they should be doing to lead them towards a lifestyle of wellness.  Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most.  We recognize that each patient is a whole person, and strive to help them reach true health and wellness...a collaborative effort between our wellness team and our patients.

Corrective Exercises

In some cases, certain muscles need to be strengthened to maintain proper posture and to "hold" the adjustments longer.  We teach our patients special exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem.  These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%.  In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use.   Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

Spinal & Postural Screenings or Wellness Education

Posture and spinal screenings can reveal important health information and unlock the door to improved health and well-being.  Our educational series is outstanding and we would love to have the opportunity to help you learn about how to implement a wellness lifestyle to avoid illness and injury and to enjoy a life well-lived!  We would love the opportunity to speak at your business, support group, or just a group of friends.  We also provide screenings at local businesses, community events, health fairs, trade shows and sporting events.  Contact us today to arrange a screening or wellness class at your event or workplace.
